Face Swap Video

Free seconds · watermarks · 4K ceilings

Face swap video is free only in short bursts: Magic Hour stops free clips at 10 seconds, VidMage allows 20 seconds a day with clips up to 15 seconds, and Akool takes 30-second uploads at 720p. Longer clips need a paid plan, priced either per second of footage or as monthly tiers that reach 4K.

For a short clip, start with VidMage, whose free web exports carry no watermark; for brand footage, Akool Pro adds 4K output and 30-minute videos. Long recordings are cheapest on per-second credits, which Remaker AI sells in packs that never expire.

An AI face swap video tool maps one photo of a face onto every frame of a clip, and the services on this page cap or bill that work by clip length. Searches for a free unlimited video face swap end at the same wall: no service here offers unlimited free video on its pricing page. What differs is the size of the free slice, whether it is watermarked, and how a paid plan meters seconds. The table compares those three points for six services, with prices converted to ringgit at the Bank Negara rate. Video is one use case among several; the face swap AI comparison on our home page covers photo, GIF and group tools as well.

01Per clip, per day or per credit: how free video is counted

The free numbers look alike until you read the unit. VidMage gives 20 seconds of video a day but caps a single free clip at 15 seconds and 100MB, so one long take will not fit even on a fresh day. Magic Hour allows 3 video or GIF generations a day, with free video stopping at 10 seconds and 480p. Akool counts per upload instead: 30 seconds and 150MB on the Basic plan. Vidnoz publishes no seconds at all, and its 100MB file cap is the limit you meet first.

Remaker AI and Faceswapper.ai start you on a credit balance. Remaker meters 1 credit per second for one face, several of its pages put sign-up credits at 30, and one page reserves video for paying VIP users. Faceswapper.ai includes a single video credit, worth one clip of up to 15 seconds, before the Premium and Pro video plans take over. Spend any free slice on lighting and motion checks; for stills, the no-cost photo and GIF options go further.

  • Vidqu runs only the opening part of a clip on its free tier, and the free previews carry a watermark.
  • MioCreate charges 5 credits for every 15 seconds and also trims free runs to an opening segment.
  • Live3D AI face swap allows three free videos a day, each up to 10 seconds.

02What eats credits once you pay

Paid video is metered by length almost everywhere, so the seconds you upload and the faces in them drive the bill, not the number of jobs. The published rates:

  • Remaker AI: 1 credit per second for one face, 2 for several
  • Magic Hour: 24 credits per second of 24fps video at base resolution, with a multiplier above that
  • VidMage: 1 credit per second after the free quota; 400 monthly credits for RM 61.22 cover a little under 7 minutes
  • Faceswapper.ai: 1 credit per 15-second clip, 2 per 30-second clip on Pro
  • Vidnoz: 5 credits per 15 seconds with one to three faces

Two habits cut the bill: trim the recording to the seconds that need a new face before uploading, and render at the resolution you will actually publish. In clips with more than one person, the per-face rules in the group swap comparison matter more than the base rate. Short reaction loops have their own limits, covered under looping GIF swaps.

03Resolution and licence before you post a clip

Free video comes out small. Magic Hour's free clips are 480p and Akool's Basic plan works at 720p, while VidMage's free web tool exports 1080p. 4K starts on Akool's Pro tier and on Magic Hour Pro, and VidMage keeps it for its Apple Silicon Mac app, which processes media on the computer instead of a server.

The licence decides where a clip may appear. VidMage grants personal, non-commercial use only, and Magic Hour's free results carry the same limit, while its paid plans and credit packs allow commercial use. Read the licence line for your plan before a swapped clip goes into a shop advert or a client reel, and check what to look for before uploading footage.

Top picks for face swap video

01
Best overall

Akool

Akool fits video that has to look finished. The free Basic plan takes a 30-second upload, enough to judge how a swap handles your lighting, though the output is 720p and watermarked. Starter, about RM 49.01 per seat a month on yearly billing, removes the watermark, exports 1080p and accepts 5-minute uploads; Pro reaches 4K and 30-minute videos. The terms rule out training on your footage.

  • No training on uploads

Magic Hour

Magic Hour prints the cost of video before you render: 24 credits per second of 24fps footage at base resolution, so the 4,000-credit pack at about RM 40.84 covers roughly 166 seconds, and pack credits never expire. The free tier gives a 10-second, 480p test with a watermark. Creator adds 1080p from about RM 49.01 a month billed yearly, Pro adds 4K, and paid output may be used commercially.

  • Commercial use when paid

Remaker AI

Remaker AI accepts clips of up to 30 minutes and 500MB and bills 1 credit per second for one face, 2 for several. Credits come in one-off packs that never expire, from 200 credits for about RM 24.46, so a recorded talk or a long family clip costs only its own seconds. Check two rules first: one Remaker page reserves video for VIP users, a status any purchase grants, and refunds close 3 days after a first purchase.

How to swap a face in a video

The upload steps barely differ between tools; the free cap and the per-second meter are what change the result and the cost. Only swap your own face or the faces of people who agreed to appear in the clip.

  1. 01
    Trim the clip

Cut the recording down to the seconds that need a new face, since free caps run from 10 to 30 seconds.

  2. 02
    Choose the face

Use a sharp, front-facing photo lit like the clip, so the new face matches the light in the scene.

  3. 03
    Render a test

Run the first few seconds before the full clip and check the edges, head turns and the jawline.

  4. 04
    Export clean

Pick the highest resolution your plan allows, then confirm the file has no watermark before you post it.
